Your name in the forum

What shows of you in a message (the name, @username and photo of your Duxels account), what never shows and what to do if the forum asks you to complete your account.

In the forum you do not pick a separate name. Your messages show the details of your Duxels account.

What shows

Your name.
Your @username.
Your photo. If your account has none, you see the default image or the first letter of your name.

It is public: anyone who reads the forum sees it.

What never shows

Your e-mail and your phone. The forum does not show them.

If the forum asks you to complete your account

To write, your account needs your name or your username. If it has neither, instead of the form you see "Complete your Duxels account" and a Go to my account button. Add them there and come back to the forum.

Your name or username also cannot look like the Duxels team (for example "Duxels", "support" or "admin"), so nobody is confused. In that case you see "Change your name in your Duxels account": change it in your account to be able to write.

Change your name, username or photo

You change them in your account, not in the forum. How, in Profile and security. The forum picks up the new details the next time you write, and from then on they show on all your messages.

If you see "Removed author"

It is a message that no longer shows its author.
